History

• Biography

  His parents are Allorah Wingate and Eric Miller. They had him when they were 17. They named him Sparkshine because they were reading a magazine about cars one day and one of the names underneath a bright yellow Dodge Challenger caption read "Sparkshine", and they thought that was pretty nifty.
  
  His parents want him to be an engineer due to his name, but he himself would rather be a comedian, ship builder, computer technician, writer, archaeologist, or a nature photragrapher.
  
  He loves exploring, digging, getting dirty, taking pictures, and having fun. He doesn't like parties, loud noises, or roaches. He shudders and runs when he sees them. Oh, yeah, he's quite claustrophobic.
  
  He collects rocks, dirt, arrowheads, pencils, pens, notebooks, CDs, diaries, buttons, yarn, hearts, and feathers.

  • Archeology Buff!!!! February 15th 2018, 7:58 am

    I was reading my seventh grade history book in class one day, and it was about something called archeology l, and that piqued my curiosity. I became so enamored by that section in the book I hardly noticed that it was time to leave class. Mr. Bernhardt had to walk over to my chair and get my attention. Here’s how the conversation went:
    
    Mr. Bernhardt: "Sparkshine? Class is over. Time to leave."
    Me: I didn't hear him.
    Mr. Bernhardt: "Sparkshine? Can you hear me? I'm sorry, but it's time to go to your next class."
    Me: " Hmmm? Oh, sorry, Mr. Bernhardt. I was reading about archeology. Quite fascinating stuff. Oh, shoot! I'm late for my next class. Oops. I heard you. I just got lost in my newly discovered world in my book. I'll see you tomorrow. Bye."
    Mr. Bernhardt: "Yes, archeology is very fascinating. I'm actually a professor of archeology at the local college. If you would like, I can give you tons of stuff on it. I know a lot about it. I will write you a note for your teacher so you don't get in trouble. I'll let you borrow some of my own books if you'd like to read them."
    Me: " Are you serious? Yes, please. And thanks for the note. I promise not to damage your books."
    Mr. Berndhardt: Laughs for a minute. "I know you wouldn't. But don't worry, they're mostly vintage/antique, some have wear and tear on them. We'll talk later. My students are waiting. Bye."
    Me: "Cool!!! Thanks!!!"
    
    Ever since that conversation, I have been hooked.
    
    My mommy is calling me. I will see you later!!!!
